Masnoon Nikah · Legal & Community Information
Community Guidelines
Masnoon Nikah is built for people who are genuinely looking for marriage.
A useful matrimonial community depends not only on technology, but also on how members treat one another.
These Community Guidelines explain the behaviour expected from everyone using Masnoon Nikah and the types of activity that may lead to proposal rejection, restrictions, suspension or account removal.
By using Masnoon Nikah, you agree to follow these Guidelines together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and other applicable platform rules.
1. Our Community Standard
Serious Marriage. Honest Information. Respectful Behaviour.
Masnoon Nikah should be a place where individuals and families can search for a suitable rishta without unnecessary harassment, deception, casual dating behaviour or misuse of personal information.
Every member is expected to follow three basic principles:
Be Genuine
Use Masnoon Nikah only if you are genuinely seeking marriage or legitimately helping an eligible adult family member with their matrimonial search.
Be Honest
Provide materially accurate information about yourself and your circumstances.
Be Respectful
Treat other members, their families, their privacy and their decisions with dignity—even when a rishta does not move forward.
2. Masnoon Nikah Is for Marriage — Not Casual Dating
Use the Platform for Its Intended Purpose
Masnoon Nikah is a matrimonial platform.
It is not intended for:
- Casual dating
- Hookups
- Flirting for entertainment
- Sexual solicitation
- Collecting phone numbers
- Building a social-media following
- Passing time through casual conversations
- Finding business customers
- Promoting unrelated services
Members should initiate and continue interactions because they are genuinely evaluating a potential marriage proposal.
Repeated use of the platform for non-matrimonial purposes may result in account restrictions or removal.
3. You Must Be 18 or Older
Matrimonial Accounts Are for Adults
You must be at least 18 years old to have a matrimonial proposal on Masnoon Nikah.
Do not:
- Create a proposal for a person under 18
- Misrepresent a minor’s age
- Ask Masnoon Nikah to publish a future-marriage proposal for a minor
- Use another adult’s account to give an underage person access to matrimonial features
If Masnoon Nikah reasonably believes that a proposal represents someone under 18, the proposal or account may be restricted while the matter is reviewed.
4. Create a Genuine and Accurate Rishta Proposal
Your Proposal Should Represent the Real You
Your proposal helps another person or family decide whether further discussion may be appropriate.
Do not knowingly provide materially false or misleading information.
This includes misleading statements about matters such as:
- Age
- Identity
- Marital status
- City or country of residence
- Nationality
- Education
- Profession
- Employment
- Family circumstances
- Religious information
- Photographs
- Other facts that could materially affect a marriage decision
Not every detail needs to be made publicly visible.
However, information you do provide should not intentionally create a false impression.
5. Be Honest About Your Marital Status
Different Marriage Circumstances Are Welcome — Misrepresentation Is Not
Masnoon Nikah is not limited only to people seeking a first marriage.
Eligible adults may have different marital circumstances.
What matters is honesty.
Do not falsely present yourself as:
- Never married
- Divorced
- Widowed
- Currently married
- Legally free to marry
when that description is materially inaccurate.
Members are responsible for understanding and complying with any legal, religious or personal requirements applicable to their own circumstances.
Masnoon Nikah does not determine whether a particular marriage is legally or religiously permissible for an individual user.
6. Family-Managed Proposals Must Still Be Honest
Helping Someone Does Not Mean Impersonating Them
Parents and families may play an active role in finding a rishta.
Where Masnoon Nikah permits family involvement, the person represented by the proposal must still be an eligible adult.
Do not:
- Create a proposal for an adult without appropriate knowledge or authority where required
- Pretend to be the person represented by the proposal in a misleading way
- Make false claims on their behalf
- Hide material information merely because a family member manages the account
Family involvement should support a genuine matrimonial search—not create confusion about who the proposal actually represents.
7. Use Real and Appropriate Photos
Do Not Mislead People with Images
If you upload photographs, they must belong to you or you must have the appropriate right to use them.
Do not upload:
- Another person’s photograph and claim it is you
- Celebrity photographs
- AI-generated faces intended to impersonate a real member
- Heavily manipulated images intended to materially misrepresent appearance or identity
- Obscene or sexually explicit images
- Images intended to harass, threaten or offend
- Photographs obtained without permission where permission is required
Masnoon Nikah may reject or remove inappropriate or misleading media.
8. Respect Private Photos
Access Is Not Permission to Redistribute
If another member gives you authorised access to a private photograph, that does not make the photograph public.
You must not:
- Screenshot and distribute it without permission
- Publish it on social media
- Forward it to unrelated people
- Upload it to another website
- Use it for impersonation
- Use it for blackmail
- Use it for ridicule
- Use it for marketing
- Create fake accounts with it
Misuse of private photographs may result in immediate account action.
9. Respect Contact Information
A Phone Number Is Not Public Property
If you gain legitimate access to another member's:
- Phone number
- Email address
- WhatsApp number
- Social-media account
- Other personal contact information
you may use it only for appropriate matrimonial communication.
You must not:
- Publish it
- Sell it
- Add it to marketing lists
- Share it in unrelated WhatsApp groups
- Give it to another marriage bureau
- Use it for unrelated business promotion
- Continue contacting the person after they clearly ask you to stop
Access to personal information comes with a responsibility to respect it.
10. Consent and Personal Boundaries Matter
Interest Can Be Withdrawn at Any Time
Showing interest in a proposal does not create an obligation to continue.
A person may decide at any stage that they do not wish to proceed.
This can happen:
- After viewing a proposal
- After accepting an interest
- After messaging
- After exchanging contact information
- After families communicate
- After a meeting
- After earlier positive discussions
If someone clearly tells you they do not wish to continue, respect that decision.
Do not repeatedly contact, pressure, threaten or shame them into reconsidering.
No means the rishta discussion should stop.
11. Communicate Respectfully
Disagreement Is Not Permission for Abuse
You may decide that another proposal is not suitable.
You may also disagree about preferences, values or expectations.
You must still communicate respectfully.
Do not use:
- Insults
- Threats
- Abusive language
- Humiliation
- Intimidation
- Blackmail
- Sexualised remarks
- Repeated unwanted messages
- Personal attacks
- Threats to expose private information
A rejected rishta is not justification for retaliation.
12. Matrimonial Preferences May Be Expressed — People Must Not Be Degraded
State Preferences Respectfully
Marriage is a highly personal decision, and members may have preferences concerning matters relevant to their own search.
You may respectfully describe the qualities or circumstances you are looking for in a spouse.
However, do not use Masnoon Nikah to:
- Humiliate groups of people
- Promote hatred
- Use degrading slurs
- Attack another member’s religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability or background
- Turn partner preferences into abusive statements about people who do not meet those preferences
There is a difference between:
“I am looking for a spouse who shares this preference.”
and:
“People outside this preference are inferior.”
The first may be a matrimonial preference.
The second is disrespectful community behaviour.
13. Religious Discussions Must Remain Respectful
Marriage Preferences Do Not Justify Sectarian Abuse
Religious practice and beliefs may be relevant to matrimonial compatibility.
Members may discuss those matters respectfully.
Masnoon Nikah must not be used for:
- Sectarian abuse
- Religious insults
- Deliberately provoking other members
- Declaring other users inferior through abusive language
- Turning a matrimonial conversation into hostile religious argument
If a religious issue is important to your marriage decision, discuss it clearly and respectfully.
Where a matter requires a qualified religious ruling, consult an appropriately qualified scholar rather than using another member or Masnoon Nikah support as a substitute for religious authority.
14. No Harassment or Repeated Unwanted Contact
Respect When Someone Stops Responding
Do not repeatedly pursue another member after they have clearly declined or asked you to stop.
Prohibited behaviour may include:
- Repeated unwanted messages
- Calling from multiple numbers after being blocked
- Creating another account to contact someone who blocked you
- Sending relatives or friends to pressure the person
- Threatening embarrassment
- Contacting someone’s workplace without a legitimate reason
- Repeatedly messaging family members after the proposal has been declined
Persistent unwanted contact can turn a rishta search into harassment.
Masnoon Nikah may take strong action against this behaviour.
15. No Sexual Harassment or Explicit Content
Keep Communication Appropriate to Serious Matrimonial Search
Masnoon Nikah is not an adult-entertainment or sexual-content platform.
Do not send or request:
- Nude or sexually explicit photographs
- Explicit sexual videos
- Pornographic material
- Sexual propositions unrelated to appropriate matrimonial discussion
- Unwanted sexual questions
- Sexually degrading comments
- Explicit content intended to pressure or embarrass another member
Marriage-related compatibility may sometimes require sensitive discussions.
Those discussions should take place appropriately, respectfully and with mutual willingness—not through harassment or explicit solicitation.
16. No Threats, Blackmail or Extortion
Never Use Private Information as a Weapon
You must not threaten another person with:
- Publishing private photographs
- Sharing conversations
- Exposing their proposal
- Contacting their employer
- Embarrassing their family
- Publishing personal information
- Making false allegations
- Demanding money in exchange for silence
- Any other form of coercion
Threats, blackmail and extortion are serious violations.
Masnoon Nikah may preserve relevant platform records and take additional action where required or permitted by applicable law.
17. No Scams, Fraud or Deceptive Financial Requests
A Rishta Is Not a Fundraising Opportunity
Do not use Masnoon Nikah to deceive another member into sending money.
Suspicious financial requests may include claims involving:
- Emergency loans
- Medical emergencies
- Travel expenses
- Visa costs
- Immigration processing
- Business investment
- Gift cards
- Cryptocurrency
- Customs charges
- Mobile balance
- Bank transfers
- Receiving money on someone else’s behalf
A genuine relationship does not exempt anyone from normal financial caution.
Members should report suspicious requests.
18. Never Ask for Passwords, PINs or Verification Codes
Protect Account and Financial Security
Do not ask another member for:
- Masnoon Nikah password
- Email password
- Social-media password
- Bank PIN
- ATM PIN
- Card PIN
- One-time verification code
- Login code
- Banking authentication code
Masnoon Nikah support should never need your secret password, bank PIN or login verification code.
Anyone requesting such information should be treated with serious caution.
19. No Impersonation
Be Who You Say You Are
Do not impersonate:
- Another member
- A potential spouse
- A parent or family member without authority
- Masnoon Nikah staff
- A religious scholar
- A government official
- A lawyer
- A doctor
- Another professional
- Another organisation
Do not create fake screenshots, fake support messages or fake payment instructions pretending to come from Masnoon Nikah.
21. Do Not Scrape or Harvest Member Information
Proposal Data Is Not a Free Database
You must not use automated or manual methods to systematically collect:
- Names
- Photos
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Proposal details
- Family information
- Member identifiers
- Other personal data
for unrelated purposes.
Do not:
- Scrape the platform
- Build copied proposal databases
- Republish member listings
- Sell proposal information
- Train unrelated datasets using private member information
- Harvest phone numbers for marketing or another marriage service
Access provided for matrimonial search must remain within that purpose.
22. Do Not Bypass Platform Controls
Respect Safety and Usage Limits
Do not attempt to bypass:
- Login requirements
- Proposal eligibility requirements
- Contact-detail access rules
- Private-photo permissions
- Interest limits
- Reporting controls
- Account restrictions
- Suspensions
- Payment requirements
- Security controls
- Other platform safeguards
This includes creating additional accounts or using technical methods to evade an enforcement action.
23. Do Not Misuse Reports
Report in Good Faith
The reporting system exists to help members raise genuine concerns.
Do not submit false reports simply because:
- Someone declined your proposal
- Someone did not reply
- A family chose another proposal
- You had a normal disagreement
- You want another member removed for personal reasons
Knowingly fabricated or abusive reporting may itself lead to account action.
24. What Should Be Reported?
Tell Us When Something Appears Wrong
Consider reporting activity involving:
- Fake or misleading proposals
- Impersonation
- Suspected underage use
- Stolen photographs
- Harassment
- Threats
- Blackmail
- Sexual harassment
- Suspicious financial requests
- Spam
- Misuse of contact information
- Private-photo misuse
- Attempts to bypass platform rules
- Other serious Community Guidelines violations
Use the report option attached to the relevant member, proposal or conversation whenever available.
This gives the moderation team better context.
25. What Happens After You Submit a Report?
Reports Are Reviewed — They Do Not Automatically Prove Guilt
A report may trigger review of available information.
Depending on the circumstances, Masnoon Nikah may examine:
- The reported proposal
- Relevant account information
- Relevant platform communications
- Previous reports
- Technical or moderation history
- Supporting screenshots or information
- Other evidence reasonably available to the platform
A report does not automatically mean the reported member violated a rule.
Masnoon Nikah should consider the available context before deciding what platform action is appropriate.
26. Do Not Retaliate Against Someone for Reporting a Concern
Reporting Must Not Become Another Source of Harassment
Do not threaten, shame or harass a person because you believe they reported you.
Attempts to retaliate against a reporter may result in additional enforcement.
Masnoon Nikah may limit disclosure of report details where doing so helps protect privacy, safety or the integrity of the moderation process.
27. Moving to WhatsApp Does Not Remove These Expectations
Respect Should Continue Off-Platform
Members may eventually choose to continue communication through:
- Telephone
- Family communication
- In-person meetings
- Other services
Masnoon Nikah cannot control everything that happens outside its platform.
However, where credible evidence shows that a member used a Masnoon Nikah connection to engage in serious abuse, fraud, harassment, threats or other prohibited conduct, Masnoon Nikah may consider that information when deciding whether the person’s account should remain on the platform.
28. Protect Yourself When Moving Off-Platform
Before moving communication outside Masnoon Nikah:
- Decide whether you are comfortable proceeding
- Verify important information
- Share personal details gradually
- Involve trusted family members where appropriate
- Be cautious about money requests
- Avoid unnecessary sensitive-document sharing
- Stop communication if serious concerns arise
Once information is shared through an external service, Masnoon Nikah’s platform privacy controls cannot control how that external service or another person handles it.
29. Respect Family Involvement Without Creating Pressure
Families Should Support — Not Coerce
Parents and families can play a constructive role in matrimonial search.
However, family involvement should not be used to:
- Force someone to continue a proposal
- Threaten or intimidate another family
- Humiliate someone for declining
- Repeatedly contact a person after they have said no
- Make false claims
- Bypass another adult’s decision
The adults considering marriage must ultimately be able to make their own informed decision.
30. Respect Different Outcomes
Not Every Good Proposal Becomes a Marriage
A rishta may stop for many reasons.
For example:
- Compatibility concerns
- Family circumstances
- Location
- Career plans
- Personal preferences
- Religious expectations
- Timing
- Lack of mutual interest
A declined proposal does not automatically mean anyone behaved wrongly.
Members are expected to handle normal matrimonial rejection with maturity and respect.
31. Protect Confidential Information
Private Conversations Should Remain Private
Do not publicly expose another member’s private communications merely because a rishta did not proceed.
You should not post private conversations, photographs or personal details online for:
- Revenge
- Humiliation
- Gossip
- Viral content
- Social-media engagement
- Public pressure
There may be legitimate reasons to preserve or share information with Masnoon Nikah, trusted advisers, qualified professionals or lawful authorities when dealing with a genuine safety or legal concern.
That is different from public shaming.
32. Platform Safety Does Not Replace Personal Verification
An Approved Proposal Is Still Only a Starting Point
Masnoon Nikah may review proposals and enforce these Guidelines, but it cannot guarantee every statement another person makes.
Before making an important commitment, consider independently verifying matters relevant to your decision.
Depending on your circumstances, this may include:
- Identity
- Age
- Marital status
- Education
- Profession
- Family information
- Residence
- Immigration claims
- Financial representations
- Other important facts
Admin-reviewed does not mean fully verified.
33. Enforcement
What Happens If Someone Breaks the Guidelines?
Masnoon Nikah may take action based on:
- Severity of the conduct
- Available evidence
- Previous violations
- Risk to other users
- Whether the conduct appears deliberate
- Whether corrective action is possible
- Applicable platform rules or legal requirements
Possible actions include:
Guidance or Warning
For certain lower-level issues, a member may be informed of the rule and asked to correct the behaviour.
Content or Proposal Changes
Content may be rejected, hidden or removed.
Feature Restrictions
Access to particular features may be temporarily or permanently restricted.
Proposal Suspension
A proposal may be suspended while a concern is reviewed.
Account Suspension
Access may be temporarily restricted.
Account Removal
Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account removal.
Additional Action
Where reasonably required by applicable law, safety needs or a valid legal process, Masnoon Nikah may preserve relevant records or take other appropriate steps.
Not every violation requires the same response.
34. Serious Violations May Lead to Immediate Action
Some behaviour may be serious enough that Masnoon Nikah does not need to begin with a warning.
Examples may include credible evidence of:
- Underage matrimonial use
- Fraud or scams
- Blackmail
- Serious threats
- Impersonation
- Stolen private photographs
- Sexual harassment
- Malicious private-data publication
- Attempts to compromise platform security
- Repeated harassment after previous restrictions
Masnoon Nikah may restrict access while investigating a serious safety concern.
35. Appeals and Clarification
Think We Made a Mistake?
If your proposal or account is restricted and you believe the decision was based on incorrect information, you may contact support.
Explain:
- What decision you are asking us to review
- Why you believe it was incorrect
- Any relevant context
- Any supporting information you are entitled to provide
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reversal.
Masnoon Nikah may maintain the original action when the available evidence supports it.
